Things to Know About Sending Money

We've compiled some important details about sending money to others using ZashPay.

  • You can send money to any adult over the age of eighteen (18) in the U.S. regardless of their bank or credit union affiliation*
  • You must have a U.S.-based checking account and a U.S. address to use ZashPay
  • Recipients are not required to pay a fee
  • If you're sending a payment to someone who has never before registered for ZashPay, they will have 12 calendar days to register and claim the money you send
  • Money will not leave your account until it is claimed
  • If money you've sent goes unclaimed, you'll get an alert letting you know that the payment has expired
  • Sending money through the ZashPay website costs 75 cents. If you send money through your bank's online channel, the fee is determined by your institution, and may vary
  • Many users can send up to $1,000 per day, but no more than $1,000 per week
    (transaction limits may vary and can change at any time)
