The money is sent directly from your existing checking account to the recipient's account (and vice versa). But you don't have to share your account information with each other, and ZashPay will never show that information to the recipient.

Things to know about how ZashPay works

We've compiled some important details about how the ZashPay service works.

  • ZashPay can be used by any adult with a checking account*, regardless of bank or credit union affiliation
  • If your bank offers ZashPay, you will be directed to its online banking page
  • If your bank does NOT offer ZashPay, you can complete your registration at zashpay.com and still enjoy the same benefits. We'll connect your bank with the recipient or sender's bank
  • When enrolling, you will be asked to provide certain personal information and your authorization to obtain a consumer report. The consumer report will assist us in validating your identity and establishing transaction limits. Your information is secure and your credit will not be affected
  • Your privacy is our utmost concern, and these measures help us ensure that only you have access to your accounts

  • When enrolling, you'll be asked to enter your checking account and contact information and to create a user name and password to ensure the safety and security of your account transactions

  • To verify your account, we make two small deposits and one withdrawal that will appear on your monthly statement from your bank with ACCTCONFRM (or similar wording) in the description
  • You can only use checking accounts and certain money market accounts with check-writing privileges
  • Many users can send up to $1,000 per day but no more than $1,000 per week
