How can I find out whether my financial institution offers ZashPay personal payments?
When you first sign up for ZashPay, we ask you to provide the routing and account numbers for your payment account. We ask for this specific information in order to confirm your financial account information, as well as ensure the security of your account transactions. If the routing number you provide matches a participating ZashPay financial institution, you'll see a message on-screen telling you that, and giving instructions on how to access ZashPay through your bank.
You can also look up your financial institution by name on the ZashPay website and know whether or not they offer our services. If they do offer the service, you will be directed to their online banking page. If they do not offer ZashPay, you can complete your registration at zashpay.com and still enjoy the benefits of sending and receiving money the easy way!
If my financial institution doesn't offer the ZashPay service, can I still use the ZashPay website to send and receive money?
Yes! Over time you will see more and more financial institutions offering ZashPay through their own websites. In the meantime, you can begin using the service today at zashpay.com to send and receive money electronically.
Is the ZashPay service available outside the U.S.?
Currently, ZashPay is only available for use between banking accounts and registered users residing in the United States, as well as military personnel with an APO address. Residents of eligible U.S. territories can receive money, but not send it.

We monitor all of our payment systems around the clock, and work to proactively identify potentially fraudulent or suspicious activity to protect you and your money.
How do I use my user name and password?
Your ZashPay user name and password allow you and only you to use your ZashPay account. You'll be required to enter your user name and password each time you sign in to ZashPay.
Each user name must be unique, so if your desired user name is already taken you'll be asked to select a different one.

You can only use payment accounts with check writing privileges. For example, checking, DDA and money market accounts are accepted, but credit and debit cards are not (unless they are tied to an account with check writing privileges).
Can I set up multiple payment accounts?
No, you can only use one payment account for ZashPay. If you want to change the account you're currently using, simply go to Service Setup and enter new account information. Please keep in mind that this change will cancel any pending payments you've sent to others (your payment history for the old account will remain available through the History link). Certain pieces of information (such as your name) can't be changed online for security purposes.
What happens after I enter all of my information?
We will verify your information for your security and protection. This verification process does not affect your consumer report, your credit rating or your credit worthiness. We use this process to verify the personal information you provide to us and to establish transaction limits.
Note: We will notify you if we are unable to verify your information. You will not be able to use ZashPay to send or receive money until your identity is successfully verified.
Why do you verify my identity with a consumer reporting agency?
Federal law requires us to verify the identity of all users of ZashPay before letting them make or receive payments. We use consumer reporting agencies to help us provide a secure and efficient way to verify your identity.
Now that I've signed up, how do I verify my bank account?

We verify your account to provide an extra level of assurance that the bank account is actually your account or an account that you are authorized to use.
Note: The information you need to verify your account is available on an account statement from your financial institution (such as your transaction history in online banking). Account confirmation transactions have ACCTCONFRM or similar wording in the description.
How does bank account verification work?
To confirm your account, we make two small deposits (of less than one dollar each) into and one withdrawal from your account. (The withdrawal is the sum total of the two deposits we made.) The deposits and withdrawal appear on your monthly statement from your financial institution (either online or mailed to you) with ACCTCONFRM or similar wording in the description. This information can be found on your statement and will be used to verify your account.
Where can I find my deposit amounts?
To find the amounts we deposited into your bank account, you can:
Note: The deposit amounts are identified with ACCTCONFRM or similar wording in the description. The description of the deposits may vary slightly, but should contain some indicator that the deposits are for an account confirmation.
What should I do if I don't have any verification amounts on my monthly statement?
While verification transactions usually show up in two to three business days, in rare instances it can take up to a month for the bank account confirmation deposits and withdrawal to appear on your statement. The account confirmation deposits and withdrawal are identified with ACCTCONFRM or similar wording in the description. The description of the deposits may vary slightly, but should contain some indicator that the deposits are for an account confirmation. Some other ways that you can get this information are to check your account statement online or to call your financial institution and ask for the confirmation deposit amounts.
